1917-23 The important collection of Armenian Revenues formed with essentially the Dr. R. J. Ceresa reference collection and embellished with much ex Trevor Pateman material, housed in six large folders and various smaller ones, forming a comprehensive collection of approximately 500 items, the majority from 1917 to 1923 period franked with examples of Imperial, Dasknak, and Soviet fiscal stamps, incl. the perforated initial Dashnak issues and Soviet overprint on Chassepot postage stamps, wide range of multiple and varied frankings, partly written up on pages, a great basis for a very unique exhibition collection, approximately 40 items have been identified as forgeries, the necessary literarature is included for the student, namely Zhakyan and Saltikov “Post and postage stamps of Armenia”, also Zhakyan “Postage Stamps, Fiscal Stamps and Postage Cancels”, J. Barefoot “Russia Revenues”, etc.
