GREECE/EGYPT, 1871 (21 Oct.) Folded cover from Volo to Sira, franked by 1pi red tied by V.R. EGIZIANE / VOLO / 21 OTT 1871 cds with a second strike alongside, “20” manuscript marking for Greek internal 20 lepta rate accounted for by applying a 20L blue stamp (touched at bottom left) and tied by Syra cds dated October 10th 1871 (Julian calendar), usual disinfection slits, an extremely rare and desirable franking, cert. Tseriotis and signed HolcombeProvenance : Fikry and Chauvet collections
