FIRST DAY OF THE MULREADY LETTERSHEET1840 (May 6) 1d Mulready lettersheet, forme 3, stereo A63 sent on May 6th 1840 from Bristol to Minehead, cancelled by neat red MC, clear datestamp on reverse proving first day of usage, interesting manuscript on face “May 5, 1840”, most probably written on that day and sent on May 6th, very fine and rare, first day usages are far more elusive from towns other than London, cert. RPS
