Lot 1405
1847 I-CHAN mail: Five I-Chan mail envelopes, each with its respective correspondence, bearing the official red chops. These documents are exceptionally accompanied by translations in French and in English dating from around the end-of-the 19th century. The documents are addressed to K Yung of the Imperial House, Governor of the two Kwang Provinces & Director of the board of war, some tears and wear to the envelopes as can be often expected with these types of documents, the contents are all in very fine condition, a fascinating and rare group
