1834-1940 The attempt to build a topical exhibition collection on the theme of Forestry, a selection of items in two folders with practically none dating later than 1940, including fascinating telegrams, postal stationery items including spectacular publicity, German local post, picture postcards, labels, cancels including “Fancy” ones from USA and Canada, pre-philatelic postmarks, complete airgraph, V-Mail, sendings made out of wood, items from Waterlow & Sons archive, Cameroon hand-painted essay and some Zemstvos, a great holding and a good basis for an exhibition collection
