Lot 40046
1874, Cover of an official letter sent from Simbirsk to a village near Korsun in the same province bearing the free-frank seal of the administration for peasant affairs. A very important item for Zemstvo collectors because the seal was made by the same printers having the same printing caracteristics (stars) as the legendary and very rare stamps of the Alatyr dirstrict. No more that 5 similar seals recorded up to now, cert. B. Furnon AIEP
