1842 Folded entire from Campione, dated internally 20 Luglio 1842 and addressed to Verres (Aosta Valley), handstamped LUGANO 27 JUIL 1842, large L.T alongside (Lettera in Transito) applied in Milan, sent through Milan as this was the cheaper route, has transited through Chiasso via Carmelata, small opening tears at top but not detracting from this rare postal history item of CampioneProvenance: Collection “Ohnmeiss” and illustrated on page 15 of his book “Campione – l’Exclave Italiana in terra svizzera”
