1947 SAAR II issue: The exceptional group of proofs of the overprints on the 2nd Offenburg issue. The unique set of 9 complete sheet of proofs were found in 1997 and this lot includes the original 1997 certificates of Ney BPP with photos of the complete sheets. From the 850 stamps, only 288 were sold (representing 3 sets of the various possible combinations). This lot contains the remaining 562 stamps, all never hinged and signed Ney BPP.
